Tyynismaa Earns A-R-C Weekly Honor

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- Wartburg College senior, JoJo Tyynismaa has been named the American Rivers Conference Women's Track Performer of the Week, the league announced Monday.

Tyynimsaa, a Tama, Iowa native, helped lead the Knights to two event victories on Mar 28 (Sat) at the WashU Invite in St. Louis.

In the 400m hurdles, Tyynismaa was victorious in the event with a time of 1:00.24, which stands first on the TFRRS list for this season.

In the 100m hurdles, Tyynismaa won the event with a time of 14.56, which stands eighth on the TFRRS list for this season.

Additionally, Tyynismaa was a key member on the Wartburg 4x100m relay team. The Knights finished with a time of 47.09, which stands 16th on the TFRRS list for this season.

Tyynismaa has earned her sixth career A-R-C athlete of the week honor.
