Knights Win Six Events on Day One of Mount Mercy Open

WAVERLY, Iowa- The Knights No. 6 ranked men's and No. 10 ranked women's track and field teams concluded their day competing at the UW-Platteville Invite and Mount Mercy Open.
 
(Ema Roberts, High Jump), Olivia Tollari, Long Jump), Trent Polley (Javelin Throw), Abby Veld (Shot Put), the men's 4x400m relay (Jordan Cleaves, Caleb Olson, Hutton Edney, and Jimmy Weispfenning), and the women's (Olivia Tollari, Natalie Bork, Haley Meyer, and JoJo Tyynismaa) earned event victories.

(W) 5000m: Lydia Maas led the Knights in the event with a time of 17:27.08.
 
Mount Mercy Open 
(M) High Jump: Jayden Maten was the top performer for the Knights and finished eighth with a 1.76m mark.
 
(W) High Jump: The Knights had three of the top four competitors. Ema Roberts  (1.70m) earned the event victory, which is a facility record. Roberts remains fifth on the program's top 10 list, but improves her mark. Roberts stands third on the TFRRS list for this season. Samantha Nielsen (1.57m) placed third and Grace Braden (1.52m) placed fourth.
 
(M) Long Jump: Tonie Torboh Jr. and Jayden Maten tied for second with a 6.75m mark to lead the Knights.
 
(W) Long Jump: Olivia Tollari and Adalyn Sporleder were the top two finishers in the event. Tollari was the winner with a 5.39m mark. Sporleder was the runner-up with a 5.23m mark.
 
(M) Javelin Throw: Trent Polley was victorious with a 61.94m mark, which is a meet record. Polley remains second on the program's top 10 list, but improves his mark. Polley stands 11th on the TFRRS list for this season. Cael Schramm placed fourth with a 49.87m mark.
 
(W) Javelin Throw: Allie Schweitzberger earned a top three finish with a 35.47m mark. Samantha Nielsen followed with a 35.17m mark to finish fourth.
 
(M) Shot Put: The Knights had two performers finish in the top five. Deacon Vasey took fourth place with a 14.48m mark and Eli Keahna took fifth place with a 14.29m mark.
 
(W) Shot Put: Abby Veld earned the event win with a 13.07m mark, which stands 20th on the TFRRS list for this season. Ana Glawe placed fourth with a 11.41m mark.
 
(M) 4x400m: The Knights had the top two relay teams represented in the event. Jordan Cleaves, Caleb Olson, Hutton Edney, and Jimmy Weispfenning led the Knights to an event victory with a time of 3:17.36, which stands 16th on the TFRRS list for this season. Evan Richardson, Benjamin Roussell, AJ Wright, and Jeffrey Oestreicher led the Knights to a runner-up finish with a time of 3:18.68.
 
(W) 4x400m: The Knights had the top two relay teams represented in the event. Olivia Tollari, Natalie Bork, Haley Meyer, and JoJo Tyynismaa led the Knights to the event win with a time of 3:50.17. They set a facility and meet record. Additionally, they stand fifth on the TFRRS list for this season. Ryann Decker, Hannah Ramsey, Taylor Burns, and Isabella Skay led the Knights to a runner-up finish with a time of 3:57.85.
