Knights Win 21 Events at Wartburg Triangular

WAVERLY, Iowa- The Knights No. 7 ranked men's and No. 9 ranked women's track and field teams competed today at the Wartburg Triangular. The Knights won 21 total events in today's action.
 
Tonie Torboh Jr (Triple Jump), Trent Polley (Javelin Throw), Clay Warson (1500m), Nathan Ahern (800m), Alex Kerr (400m), AJ Wright (200m), Weston Johnson (110m Hurdles), and the 4x400m relay (Nathan Ahern, Rylan Martin. Marcus Camacho, Logan Rosas) earned event victories on the men's side.
 
Samantha Nielsen (High Jump, Javelin Throw), Olivia Tollari (Long Jump), Maddy Boulanger (Triple Jump), Abby Veld (Discus), Haley Meyer (1500m), Natalie Bork (400m) Ryann Decker (400m Hurdles, 100m Hurdles), JoJo Tyynismaa (200m, 100m), the 4x400m relay (Nadia Bowden, Alyssa Blankenship, Janae Hansen, Ella Johnson), and the 4x100m relay (Aly Stahle, JoJo Tyynismaa Olivia Tollari, Adalyn Sporleder) earned event victories on the women's side.

FIELD EVENTS
(M) High Jump: Cael Schramm finished fourth in the event with a 1.92m 6-03.50 mark.
 
(W) High Jump: Samantha Nielsen was victorious with a 1.57m 5-01.75 mark. Sarah Gruver and Alyssa Fowler tied for second with a 1.42m 4-07.50 mark.
 
(M) Long Jump: Mitchell Darst finished in the top three with a 6.13m 20-01.50 mark. Steele Tebay followed with a 5.91m 19-04.75 mark.
 
(W) Long Jump: Olivia Tollari was the winner with a 5.63m 18-05.75 mark. Adalyn Sporleder (5.26m 17-03.25) placed second, Aniston Tollari (4.78m 15-08.25) placed third, Jazmine Woode (4.47m 14-08.00) placed fourth, and Brynn Epperly (4.46m 14-07.75) placed fifth.
 
(M) Triple Jump: Tonie Torboh Jr won with a 14.24m 46-08.75, which ties for fourth on the program's top 10 list. Jayden Maten was the runner-up with a 13.96m 45-09.75 mark.
 
(W) Triple Jump: Maddy Boulanger earned the event victory with a 10.43m 34-02.75 mark. Alyssa Fowler (10.35m 33-11.50) finished in second place and Amelia Wright (10.23m 33-06.75) finished in third place.
 
(M) Javelin Throw: Trent Polley was victorious with a 56.26m 184-07 mark. Brady Cannon (48.94m 160-06) placed second, Cael Schramm (48.61m 159-05) placed third, and Maddex Moser (44.19m 144-11) placed fifth.
 
(W) Javelin Throw: Samantha Nielsen earned her second event victory of the day with a 35.11m 115-02 mark. Allie Schweitzberger was the runner-up with a 35.00m 114-10 mark. Kinsly Laudolff (31.29m 102-08) placed fourth and Lydia Kriegel (31.04m 101-10) placed fifth.
 
(M) Shot Put: Eli Keahna placed in the top three with a 13.73m 45-00.50 mark. Deacon Vasey (13.38m 43-10.75) and Will Evans (13.24m 43-05.25) followed.
 
(W) Shot Put: Emma Kuhlmann placed third with a 11.77m 38-07.50 mark. Ana Glaw (11.30m 37-01.00) placed fourth and Olivia Rowedder (11.20m 36-09.00) placed fifth.
 
(M) Discus: Cael Schramm finished in second place with a 42.53m 139-06 mark. Carson Luense (41.69m 136-09) took third and Garret O'Halloran (39.08m 128-02) took fifth.
 
(W) Discus: Abby Veld was victorious with a 45.84m 150-04 mark. Lydia Kriegel (42.05m 137-11) placed second and Kinsly Laudolff (36.76m 120-07) placed fourth.
 
(M) Hammer Throw: Deacon Vasey earned a top three finish with a 46.79m 153-06 mark. Eli Keahna (45.40m 148-11) finished fourth and Carson Luense (44.23m) finished fifth.
 
(W) Hammer Throw: Abby Veld was the runner-up with a 47.59m 156-01 mark. Lydia Kriegel earned a top five finish with a 43.68m 143-03 mark.
 
RUNNING EVENTS
(M) 1500m: Clay Warson captured the event win with a time of 3:52.23. Aidan Decker (3:53.56) finished second, Andrew Smith (3:54.64) finished fourth, and Nathan Kinzer (3:56.77) finished fifth.
 
(W) 1500: Haley Meyer earned the event victory with a time of 4:39.79. Maddie Merna (4:41.24) placed second, Nadia Bowden (4:46.06) placed third, Anna Quillin (4:49.39) placed fourth, and Bethany Warren (4:49.90) placed fifth.
 
(M) 800m: Nathan Ahern was victorious with a time of 1:51.25. Logan Rosas (1:53.17) finished second, Rylan Martin (1:54.83) finished third, Henry Peterson (1:54.91) finished fourth, and Marcus Camacho (1:55.83) finished fifth.
 
(W) 800m: Ella Johnson earned a runner-up finish with a time of 2:19.43. Isabella Skay (2:21.64) placed third and Megan Pickar (2:25.93) placed fifth.
 
(M) 400m Hurdles: Weston Johnson (56.05) finished in second place, Kaleb Grant (58.31) finished in fourth place, and Austin Rindels (59.09) finished in fifth place.
 
(W) 400m Hurdles: Ryann Decker was victorious with a time of 1:05.28. Sophia Stahle (1:06.11) placed second, Lillian Olson (1:07.27) placed third, Katelyn Zelle (1:10.12) placed fourth, and Maria Colette Choi Lei (1:24.80) placed fifth.
 
(M) 400m: Alex Kerr was the winner in the event with a time of 49.33. Cade Olson (49.43) took second, Benjamin Roussell took third, and Evan Richardson (50.58) took fourth.
 
(W) 400m: Natalie Bork was the first place finisher in the event with a time of 57.48. Hannah Ramsey (58.64) placed second, Leah Cherry (1:00.03) placed third, and Taylor Burns (1:00.29) placed fourth.

(M) 200m: AJ Wright earned the win with a time of 21.62. Ben Frazier (21.85) took second, Jordan Cleaves (22.02) took third, Jeffrey Oestreicher (22.11) took fourth, and Noah Schmidgall (22.23) took fifth.
 
(W) 200m: JoJo Tyynismaa was victorious with a time of 24.60, which stands 11th on the TFRRS list for this season. Tyynismaa remains sixth on the program's top 10 list, but improves her time. Olivia Tollari (25.45) placed second, Anna Curtis (26.29) placed third, Aly Stahle (26.30) placed fourth, and Leah Cherry (26.48) placed fifth.
 
(M) 110m Hurdles: Weston Johnson earned the event win with a time of 15.08. Austin Rindels (15.16) finished second and Seneca Molstre (15.81) finished third.
 
(M) 100m Hurdles: Ryann Decker won her second event of the day with a time of 15.68. Sophia Stahle (16.60) placed second, Katelyn Zelle (16.99) placed third, and Maria Colette Choi Lei (22.84) placed fourth.
 
(M) 100m: Jemorian Downs was the top performer for the Knights and finished with a time of 11.02.
 
(W) 100m: JoJo Tyynismaa earned another event victory with a time of 11.98, which stands 14th on the TFRRS list for this season. Olivia Tollari (12.51) was the runner-up and Aly Stahle (12.71) followed.
 
RELAYS
(M) 4x400m: Nathan Ahern, Rylan Martin, Marcus Camacho, and Logan Rosas were victorious with a time of 3:25.80.
 
(W) 4x400m: Nadia Bowden, Alysaa Blankenship, Janae Hansen, and Ella Johnson earned the event win with a time of 4:09.07.
 
(M) 4x100m: Noah Schmidgall, Jeffrey Oestreicher, Zander White, and Jemorian Downs earned a runner-up finish with a time of 41.93.
 
(W) 4x100m: Aly Stahle, JoJo Tyynismaa, Olivia Tollari, and Adalyn Sporleder led the Knights to an event victory with a time of 47.36, which stands 20th on the TFRRS list for this season.
