GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The American Baseball Coaches Association announced its 2026 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division III All-Region teams Tuesday, as Wartburg College sophomore pitcher
Emerson Alberhasky garnered Region IX Third-Team honors.
The 2026 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division III All-Region selections were voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and coordinated by the ABCA NCAA Division III All-America and Coach of the Year Committee.
Alberhasky (So., Ankeny, Iowa/Ankeny Centennial) rewrote the Wartburg single-season record book during the 2026 campaign, shattering the program mark with 115 strikeouts. The sophomore compiled a 5-3 record with a 3.40 earned run average across 14 starts and 82.0 innings pitched, adding two complete games and one shutout while limiting opponents to a .223 batting average.
Alberhasky led the American Rivers Conference in games started (14), strikeouts (115) and strikeouts per nine innings (12.62). Nationally, he ranked sixth in starts, third in strikeouts and 14th in strikeouts per nine innings among NCAA Division III pitchers. He recorded five double-digit strikeout performances during the season and now owns seven career outings with 10 or more strikeouts. Alberhasky was named A-R-C Pitcher of the Week twice and Male Athlete of the Week during the season, as well as landing a spot on the All-A-R-C Second Team list.
The Knights concluded the 2026 season with a 28-17 overall record and a 13-11 mark in conference play, securing the program's most conference victories since 2018. Wartburg claimed its first American Rivers Conference Tournament title since 2017 and the league-best 11th tournament championship in program history, earning the program's 15th NCAA Division III Baseball Championship appearance.
