Knights Complete Wartburg Qualifier and Uncaged Eagle Open; Ahern (800m) and Veld (Discus) Break Program Records

WAVERLY, Iowa- The Knights No. 7 ranked men's and No. 10 ranked women's track and field teams concluded the Wartburg Qualifier on Friday night. Additionally, the Knights were represented in the women's 3000m steeplechase at the Uncaged Eagle Open. Nathan Ahern (800m) and Abby Veld (discus) broke program records at the Wartburg Qualifier.
 
Tonie Torboh Jr (triple jump), Trent Polley (javelin throw), AJ Schermerhorn (10000m), Lance Sobaski (5000m), Conner Sattler (3000m steeplechase), Solomon Zaugg (1500m), Nathan Ahern (800m), Seneca Molstre (400m hurdles), Benjamin Roussell (400m), Austin Rindels (110m hurdles), AJ Wright (100m), the 4x400m relay (Alex Kerr, Cade Olson, Benjamin Roussell, Hutton Edney), and the 4x100m relay (AJ Wright, Jordan Cleaves, Noah Schmidgall, Alex Kerr) earned event victories on the men's side
 
Ema Roberts (high jump), Olivia Tollari (long jump), Amelia Wright (triple jump), Allie Schweitzberger (javelin throw), Abby Veld (discus), Lydia Maas (10000m), Claire Hoyer (5000m), Maddie Merna (3000m steeplechase), Ella Johnson (1500m), Haley Meyer (800m), JoJo Tyynismaa (400m hurdles), the 4x400m relay (Olivia Tollari, Haley Meyer, Natalie Bork, JoJo Tyynismaa), and the 4x100m relay (Aly Stahle, Grace Braden, Olivia Tollari, JoJo Tyynismaa) earned event victories on the women's side.

Wartburg Qualifier
(W) High Jump: Ema Roberts earned the event victory with a 1.73m 5-08.00 mark, which stands fourth on the TFFRS list for this season. Additionally, Roberts is tied for second on the program's top 10 list.
 
(W) Long Jump: Olivia Tollari was victorious with a 5.73m 18-09.75 mark. Tollari remains second on the program's top 10 list, but improves her mark.
 
(M) Triple Jump: Tonie Torboh Jr was the winner with a 14.38m 47-02.25 mark, which ranks fourth on the program's top 10 list. Jayden Maten was the runner-up with a 14.26m 46-09.50 mark, which ranks fifth on the program's top 10 list.
 
(W) Triple Jump: Amelia Wright won the event with a 10.16m 33-04.00 mark.
 
(M) Javelin Throw: Trent Polley was victorious with a 62.15m 203-11 mark, which stands 15th on the TFFRS list for this season. Polley remains second on the program's top 10 list, but improves his mark.
 
(W) Javelin Throw: Allie Schweitzberger was the top finisher in the event with a 34.97m 114-08.00 mark.
 
(M) Shot Put: Eli Keahna placed in the top three with a 13.77m 45-02.25m mark.
 
(W) Shot Put: Emma Kuhlmann earned a top three finish with a 12.03m 39-05.75 mark.
 
(M) Discus: Cael Schramm led the Knights with a 45.47m 149-02 mark.
 
(W) Discus: Abby Veld broke both a facility record and program record with her performance in the event. Abby Veld won with a 49.38m 162-00 mark, which stands third on the TFFRS list for this season. Lydia Kriegal followed with a 44.09m 144-08 mark, which eighth on the program's top 10 list.
 
(M) Hammer Throw: Eli Keahna led the Knights and finished with a 44.31m 145-04 mark.
 
(W) Hammer Throw: Abby Veld put together a runner-up finish with a 49.37m 161-11 mark.
 
(M) 10000m: AJ Schermerhorn earned the event win and set a facility record with a time of 30:26.93.
 
(W) 10000m: Lydia Maas was victorious and set a facility record with a time of 37:51.24.
 
(M) 5000m: Lance Sobaski won the event and broke a facility record with a time of 14:07.18. Sobaski set a facility record and stands 15th on the TFFRS list for this season. Sobaski remains fifth on the program's top 10 list, but improves his time.
 
(W) 5000m: Claire Hoyer was the winner in the event with a time of 18:21.24.
 
(M) 3000m Steeplechase: Conner Sattler was victorious with a time of 9:15.44.
 
(M) 1500m: Solomon Zaugg was the winner in the field with a time of 3:49.84, which broke a facility record. Zaugg ranks seventh on the program's top 10 list and stands 20th on the TFFRS list for this season.
 
(W) 1500m: Ella Johnson represented the Knights and finished in first place with a time of 4:50.91.
 
(M) 800m: Nathan Ahern was victorious and broke a program record with a time of 1:50.13. Ahern set a facility record and stands ninth on the TFFRS list for this season. Logan Rosas followed with a time of 1:51.15. Rosas ranks fifth on the program's top 10 list and stands 16th on the TFRRS list for this season.
 
(W) 800m: Haley Meyer earned the event victory with a time of 2:09.74. Meyer ranks fourth on the program's top 10 list and stands seventh on the TFRRS list for this season.
 
(M) 400m Hurdles: Seneca Molstre was victorious with a time of 54.00.
 
(W) 400m Hurdles: JoJo Tyynismaa earned the win in the event with a time of 1:00.73, which is a facility record.
 
(M) 400m: Benjamin Roussell picked up the event win with a time of 49.12.
 
(W) 400m: Ryann Decker earned a runner-up finish with a time of 1:00.30.
 
(M) 200m: Roman Levine had the top performance for the Knights and earned a runner-up finish with a time of 23.03.
 
(W) 200m: Anna Curtis led the Knights in the event and placed in the top three with a time of 26.35.
 
(M) 110m Hurdles: Austin Rindels was victorious in the event with a time of 14.77, which ranks ninth on the program's top 10 list.
 
(W) 100m Hurdles: Katelyn Zelle was the lone competitor for the Knights and finished in second place with a time of 15.92.
 
(M) 100m: AJ Wright won the event and tied the program record with a time of 10.42. Additionally, Wright broke the facility record in his performance. Ben Frazier finished in second place with a time of 10.47. Frazier ranks second on the program's top 10 list and stands 17th on the TFRRS list for this season.
 
(W) 100m: Amanda Davis was the top performer for the Knights and placed second with a time of 12.80.
 
(M) 4x400m: The Knights were represented were represented by Alex Kerr, Cade Olson, Benjamin Roussell, and Hutton Edney. They earned the victory and set a facility record with a time of 3:12.25. They rank seventh on the program's top 10 list and stand 11th on the TFRRS list for this season.
 
(W) 4x400m: The Knights were represented by Olivia Tollari, Haley Meyer, Natalie Bork, and JoJo Tyynismaa. They won the event and broke a facility record with a time of 3:43.65. They rank seventh on the program's top 10 list and stand second on the TFRRS list for this season.
 
(M) 4x100m: The Knights were represented by AJ Wright, Jordan Cleaves, Noah Schmidgall, and Alex Kerr. They won the event and set a facility record with a time of 40.57. They rank second on the program's top 10 list and stand sixth on the TFFRS list for this season.
 
(W) 4x100m: The Knights were represented by Aly Stahle, Grace Braden, Olivia Tollari, and JoJo Tyynismaa. Their victory set a facility record with a time of 47.18.
 
Uncaged Eagle Open
(W) 3000m Steeplechase: Maddie Merna was victorious with a time of 10:45.29, which stands 18th on the TFFRS list for this season. Merna remains third on the program's top 10 list, but improves her time. Anna Quillin finished in fourth place with a time of 11:16.71, which ranks ninth on the program's top 10 list.
