Transfer from the University of Sioux Falls.

High School: Pfaltzgraff attended Bondurant-Farrar High School, where he was a multi-sport athlete competing in football, basketball, track, and baseball. He earned 14 varsity letters and was a two-time First Team All-State selection. His athletic accolades also included five All-Conference honors, a Third Team All-State selection, an All-State Honorable Mention, and eight state qualifications across multiple sports. He was a key contributor to a basketball state championship team, averaging 13 points, six assists, four rebounds, two steals, and one block per game.
In the classroom, Pfaltzgraff excelled as well, earning Academic All-Conference and Academic All-State honors while consistently making the A Honor Roll.
