A pair of second half goals sent Wartburg to a non-conference sweep over St. John’s University of Minnesota and the College of St. Benedict of St. Joseph, Minn.
Wartburg's men's squad rallied from a 1-0 deficit with a late first half score from junior midfielder Neil Shields of Adel and a goal in the 68th minute from senior midfielder Jon Farrell of Washington, Mo., to defeat St. John’s 2-1. Senior goalkeeper Brandon Busbee of Hiawatha turned in three saves in a match in which head coach Kirk Artist’s squad had a 24-9 shots edge.
