WAVERLY, Iowa—The Wartburg baseball team (17-16 overall, 9-8 IIAC) travels to face Iowa Conference opponent, Simpson (16-17, 10-8) in a weekend series. The two teams will play the nine-inning game Friday at 6 p.m. and return to the field Saturday for the doubleheader at 1 p.m.

The Knights look to snap a three-game losing skid.
Freshman Blake Wilson (Bettendorf) leads the squad with his .402 averate and is second on the eam with his 21 RBIs. Three other players, sophomore Ryan Powers (Wheatland) and juniors Ryan Doty (Dubuque) and Andrew Krehbiel (Donnellson) join Wilson above .300 with averages of .354, .347 and .344, respectively.
Powers leads the team with his 26 RBIs.
Doty also leads the starting pitchers with his 2.66 ERA, 5-4 record and 93 strikeouts in 71 innings of work.
Simpson:
Tyler Crandell leads the Storm with his .355 average. Tyler Craig is the other hitter above .300 (.342) an has a team-best 29 RBIs.
Aaron Young leads the starting pitchers with his 3.46 ERA.
