CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa— In its second game of the Iowa Conference baseball tournament, third-seeded Wartburg (23-19 overall) fell to second-seed Coe (25-15) on a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth.
The Knights took the early 1-0 lead as sophomore Jake Raecker (Waterloo) sacrificed classmate Michael Schinstock (Urbandale) home.

A solo shot by Raisch in the fifth made the score 4-1 in Coe’s favor.
The Kohawks scored on a wild pitch in the seventh to take the 5-1 lead.
The Orange and Black tied the score in the eighth on two consecutive walks, a double by junior Andrew Krehbiel (Donnellson) and a single by freshman Blake Wilson (Wilson) to make the score 5-4. Sophomore Ryan Powers (Wheatland) tied the score with his RBI groundout.
Coe regained the lead in the bottom of the frame as it tallied four runs on five consecutive singles (9-5).
In the top of the ninth Wartburg compiled another four-run inning as Krehbiel drove in junior Ryan Doty (Dubuque) and sophomore Craig Kerper’s (Dyersville) groundout drove in another run to make the score 9-7. Classmate Tony Stenberg (Atkins) singled in a run and a wild pitch makes the score even at 9-9.
The Kohawks won the game on a sacrifice fly to center field.
The Knights will play in the 7 p.m. game tomorrow regardless of the outcome of tonight's 7 p.m. game due to the first-round byes for the top two seeds.
