CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa-- In a game that featured a half-hour lightning delay, the Wartburg baseball team (23-20 overall) fell 11-0 to Luther (25-20) in the elimination game Friday night.
 
The Norse got on the scoreboard first as they plate three runs in the top of the third inning. They doubled their runs in the fourth to move ahead 6-0 in the fourth.

Luther plated one in the sixth and two in each of the eighth and ninth for the 11-0 lead.

A Knights baserunner advanced as far as third in the fifth inning as junior Andrew Krehbiel (Donnellson) reached on an error, moved to third on classmate Ryan Doty's (Dubuque) fly out, but was stranded on third.

Sophomore Ryan Powers (Wheatland) led the team at the plate as he went 2-3 and Doty finished 2-4.
