CLAREMONT, Calif.-- The No. 1 ranked Wartburg College women's outdoor track and field team won its third National Championship in program history Saturday with its 129 total team points which was an NCAA-record (eight-scorer era, 1985 and later). The Knights won by 77 points over runner-up UW-Oshkosh which was the largest margin of victory in the meet's history.

This is the third outdoor National Championship for Wartburg and second in four years. This also means the Knights swept the National Track Championships as they won the indoor National title back in March. This also marks the second sweep in program history as they claimed both trophies in 2009.
Sophomore Sammi Bruett (Urbandale) became Wartburg’s first All-American Saturday with her fourth place finish in the 3000m steeplechase (10:39.81). She also became the second All-American in this event in the women’s program history and first since 2002 as Amie Brunko took eighth.

Junior Britlyn Sieck (Fayette) placed fifth in the shot put (13.82m; 45'04.25") and senior Sarah Hoffmann (Epworth) took sixth (13.67m; 44-10.25).

Sieck is also the programs first All-American in two throwing events at the same National meet as she took eighth in
the discus on Thursday.
Senior Nevada Morrison (Maywood, Ill.) repeated as the 400m dash champion (54.15). Twin sister Skye took second
(54.28), junior Kendra Kregel (Delhi) was fifth (55.36) and senior Faith Burt (Cedar Falls) was sixth (55.49). All four earned All-American honors to set an all-time high in a single event in program history. The mark previously stood at two which was also in the 400m dash.
Sophomores Camesha Goods (Danville, Va.) places 2nd (14.01) and Tashina McAllister (Hazelton) was fourth (14.10) in the 100m hurdles. Again, this is the first time in program history Knights have two All-Americans in this event.

The 4x100m relay team of the Morrisons, Faith Burt and Sarah Boraas took second 46.58.
Freshman Alana Enabnit (Clear Lake) won the 5000m run after previously winning the 10000m event. Senior Laura
Sigmund (Stanhope) took second. Their All-American honors marked the first mulitple All-Americans in this event.

Enabnit finished at 16:54.04 and Sigmund crossed the line at 17:01.99.
Enabnit also set program history by being the first runner to claim the 5K and and 10K titles.
McAllister later took third in the 400m hurdles (1:00.69) and was one one-hundredth of a second off of the school record. She earned her second All-American honor of the day and became the first person in program history to earn All-American status in both hurdle events.
In the 200m dash, Nevada took fourth (24.39) and Burt was sixth (24.66). Again, this was the first time in program history to have multiple All-Americans.
The 4x400m relay team of Skye, Burt, Kregel and Nevada won the National Championship with their time of 3:40.95. The Knights have now won six consecutive national championships in this relay event.

Senior Emily Eimers (Lone Rock) took ninth in the 1500m run (4:32.83).
In the triple jump, Skye and junior Monique Davisson (Cedar Rapids) unfortunately did not make the finals. They ended with best marks of 11.72m (38'5.5") and 11.63m (38'2"), respectively.
