Baseball's Conference Tournament Set

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa-- The 2012 Iowa Conference tournament seeds have been set.

Wartburg (14-10 in conference play) received the No. 3 seed and will face the No. 6 seed, Simpson (12-12) at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 10 at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Cedar Rapids.

The Knights seek the ninth conference tournament title in program history and first since 2009. The Orange and Black captured four straight tournament crowns from 1998-2001. This mark would have been six straight but the 2002 tournament was not completed due to weather.

Wartburg will make its conference-high 20th appearance in the tournament.
