COLLEGEVILLE, Minn.-- Freshman Chris Nothnick (Overland Park, Kan.) scored the game-winning goal in Wartburg's (2-2-1 overall) 2-1 victory over Saint John's University (3-2-2) Sunday afternoon.

Matt Carson gave the Johnnies the early 1-0 lead as he connected on a pass from David Wee just over three minutes into the game (3:32).

The Knights tied the score at 32:14 on an own goal as the ball deflected off the head of a Saint John's defender and over the goalkeeper.

The score remained 1-1 through halftime until Nothnick scored his first collegiate goal at 71:50.

The Orange and Black return to competition Wednesday when they host Gustavus Adolphus at 7 p.m.
