MOLINE, Ill.-- The No. 21 Wartburg baseball team lost 9-3 to Augustana College Friday.

The Knights ended the season 35-11 overall.

Augustana was the first team on the board with four runs in the third.

Wartburg scored a run in the bottom of the frame as senior Andrew Krehbiel (Donnellson) drove in junior Joe Grote on his groundout to short.

The Vikings added a run in the fourth and one in the fifth.

In the bottom of the fifth, the Knights added two as senior Drew Yoder (Wellman) hit a sacrifice fly to right to score Krehbiel and junior Clay Emmrich (Plainfield, Ill.) also hit a sacrifice fly to center to score sophomore Jackson Litterer (Waverly) to pull within three.

Augustana added two in the seventh to take the 8-3 lead and sealed the win with a run in the eighth.

Krehbiel led the team at the plate as he went 2-5.
