WAVERLY, Iowa-- Wartburg (21-11 overall, 15-5 IIAC) will host Buena Vista University (27-5, 16-4) in four-game weekend series at Hertel Field. The doubleheaders are set for Friday, April 25, beginning at 3:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 26, at 1 p.m. 
 
Following a 3-1 series win over Loras, Wartburg will face the Iowa Conference leader, Buena Vista. The Beavers enter the weekend on a nine-game winning streak.  The Knights sit in second place, trailing by one game and looking  to defend their regular-season conference title. 
 
On the mound, senior Michael Schinstock (Urbandale) remains perfect with a 5-0 record. He ranks 24^th among all Division III pitchers in complete games with four. At the plate, junior DJ Utley (Cedar Rapids Prairie) is only one of five conference hitters above .400, with a batting average of .412. Senior Ryan Powers (Wheatland) has moved into fourth on Wartburg's career-leader list in hits and needs four to move into third.
 
Both the Knights and Beavers have clinched 2014 IIAC tournament berths.
 
This is the final regular season home series for the Knights. Baseball's Class of 2014 will be recognized between games Saturday. There is also a Stuff the Stands event for Saturday's games sponsored by Dominos pizza.
