Iowa Conference video recap and interviews

"That was my first time anchoring (the 4x4) all year, so it was pretty cool (to run the sub 3:50) with my teammates," said Schubert. "I thought it was kind of cool to switch things up on our relay lineup as I had been the leadoff since the indoor season. I thought I could do a better job not as the leadoff."

Schubert was named the IIAC MVP on the track as she swept MVP honors as she earned the same award at the indoor conference championships. Head coach Marcus Newsom was named IIAC Coach of the Year.

On sweeping the MVP awards: "It's a big honor as I think my teammates could have easily been named the MVP as well," said Schubert. "Just having that caliber of athlete on my own team is awesome. It shows all the hard work pays off."

"Each conference championship is special," said Newsom. "I tell our seniors that they get to put their own stamp on the championship. People think (winning IIAC titles is easy) but I tell our student-athletes last year is a wash. We start over as nothing carries over into this year."
