WAVERLY, Iowa-- Wartburg (17-2 overall, 7-1 IIAC) hosts Luther (8-6, 3-1) Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. in a doubleheader. The teams will play a seven-inning game followed by a nine-inning game. The second doubleheader in the series will be played at Luther April 21.

Wartburg leads the all-time series 63-39. The Knights claimed three of four games last season.

Junior Ryan Kemp (Keokuk) leads the Knights with a .403 average. Senior DJ Utley (Cedar Rapids), senior Blake Wilson (Bettendorf), sophomore Jake Thumann (DeWitt), juniors Milton Croes (Noord, Aruba), and Tyler Willis (Waverly) join him above .300 at .392, .377, .366, .357 and .310.

Utley tied the program's single-game record with three home runs in the second game of a doubleheader against Central on Saturday.

Sophomore Michael Knouse (Davenport) is 3-0 on the hill and leads the starting pitching staff with a 2.03 ERA. Classmate Taylor Gilson (Oelwein) leads the bullpen with a 0.51 ERA and is 3-0 in 17.2 innings pitched.

Luther
The Norse enter today on a three-game winning streak. David Lowe leads the team's offense with a .375 batting average. Mitch Knippenberg and Aldon Severson join him above .300 at .370 and .333, respectively.

Teddy Klingsporn leads the starting pitching staff with a 1.40 ERA and is 3-0 on the mound.
