WAVERLY, Iowa-- The No. 11 Wartburg (21-4 overall, 11-3 IIAC) will face Dubuque (9-13, 4-6) in a doubleheader Friday at 3:30 p.m. The teams will play a seven-inning game followed by a nine-inning game. The second doubleheader in the series will be played Saturday starting at 1:00 p.m.

Senior DJ Utley (Cedar Rapids) leads the Knights with a .415 average. Senior Blake Wilson (Bettendorf), sophomore Jake Thumann (DeWitt), junior Ryan Kemp (Keokuk), Tyler Willis (Waverly), juniors Milton Croes (Noord, Aruba), and Jackson Litterer (Waverly) join him above .300 at .404, .380, .361, .321, .315, and .306.

Utley is third in the nation in total home runs with eight. The Knights are first in the nation in this category as a team.

Sophomore Michael Knouse (Davenport) is 3-0 on the hill and leads the starting pitching staff with a 2.78 ERA. Classmate Taylor Gilson (Oelwein) leads the bullpen with a 0.36 ERA and is 5-0 in 25 innings pitched.

Dubuque
The Spartans are led in hitting by Daniel Casanova and Dalton Garst with a .376 average. Eddie Pablo and Michael Salazar bat over .300 at .357 and .300 respectively.
