Football Travels to Face Coe

WAVERLY, Iowa-- Wartburg (2-1 overall, 1-0 IIAC) travels to face Coe (4-0, 2-0) Saturday at 1 p.m. The teams share a common opponent thus far of Nebraska Wesleyan as the Kohawks defeated the Prairie Wolves, 48-17 last Saturday in Lincoln, Neb.

The Series
Wartburg leads the all-time series 23-11 and have won the past two meetings.

Junior Connor Schrader (Lake Zurich, Ill.) is the team's leading rusher with 288 yards on 45 carries and four touchdowns. Freshman Dylan Binion (Albany, Ill.) is the second-leading rusher with 127 yards and one score.

Sophomore Matt Sacia (Eldridge) has thrown for 690 yards and seven TDs as the signalcaller. His top target has been junior Riley Brockway (Postville) who has 18 receptions for 267 yards and three TDs. Classmate Griffin Brennecke (Marion) joins him in triple digits with 219 yards on nine catches.

Senior Sawyer Anderson (New Hampton) leads the defense with 20 total tackles, which includes 15 solo. Classmate Dalton Cievarelli (Clarksville) follows with 19 total and has a team-best 3.5 tackles for a loss of 12 yards.

Coe
Trevor Heitland leads the team on the ground on 517 yards on 74 carries for six touchdowns and through the air with 271 yards on 15 catches. Quarterback Gavin Glenn has thrown for 1,034 yards and 10 TDs.

Nick Elsbury leads the defense with 24 total tackles.
