The Wartburg College football team concluded the 2025 season ranked No. 12 in the D3football.com poll and No. 14 in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division III Coaches Poll.

The Knights finished the season with a 10–1 overall record and a perfect 8–0 mark in American Rivers Conference play, securing their fourth consecutive and 18th overall NCAA playoff appearance in program history. Wartburg captured its fourth straight and 21st overall A-R-C crown, extending its conference winning streak to a league-record 34 games, surpassing a mark that had stood since 1967. The Wartburg football program also pushed its streak of consecutive winning seasons to 32, ranking third across all levels of college football.

Head coach Chris Winter secured his fourth conference title in just five seasons, while the 2025 senior class completed its career unbeaten in conference competition.

Wartburg ranked inside the Division III top 25 in seven team statistical categories during the 2025 campaign:

Three Knights also ranked among the top 25 nationally in individual statistical categories:

The Orange and Black led the A-R-C in rushing offense (205.6 ypg), tackles for loss allowed (5.18), and total defense (275.5 ypg). Individually, Dawson Rud paced the conference with nine rushing touchdowns, Jake Walker led the league with 0.73 sacks per game, and Jaxson Hoppes topped the A-R-C with 66 total points scored.
