WAVERLY, Iowa -- Keenan Tyler and
Jake Walker were named to the Associated Press (AP) Division III All-American teams, the national organization announced today.
Tyler earned First-team honors and Walker earned a Third-team accolade to mark the first career AP All-American honors for each.
Tyler was also named a First-team AFCA All-American earlier this month. He was also named the 2025 American Rivers Conference Defensive Most Valuable Player, becoming the fourth consecutive Wartburg player to earn the league's top defensive honor—setting both a program and conference record. He earned a First Team All-A-R-C selection and was a two-time Defensive Player of the Week recipient.
The Decorah, Iowa native turned in a career-best campaign during the 2025 season, recording 124 total tackles, the fourth-highest single-season mark in program history. He ranked second in the American Rivers Conference in solo tackles per game (6.64) and third in total tackles. The senior established career highs across the board, including 73 solo tackles, 51 assisted tackles, seven tackles for loss, and seven pass breakups.
Walker was a force on the defensive line for the Wartburg's high-rated defense in 2025. The junior earned First-team All-Conference honors this season after being an Honorable Mention in 2024.
The Waverly, Iowa native posted career-highs in sacks (eight), TFL's (13), fumbles forced (one) and PBU's (five). Walker finished the 2025 season with 18 solo tackles and 14 assisted tackles for 32 total tackles. Walker recorded at least a half sack in seven out of 11 games this season.
Wartburg has now had an AP All-American in four-straight seasons.
