Volleyball Travels to WashU Invite to Conclude Regular Season

WAVERLY, Iowa-- The Wartburg volleyball team (15-9 overall) travels to St. Louis, Mo. to compete in the Baden Invite, hosted by Washington University-St. Louis this weekend.

Wartburg
Senior Lizzy Blough (Dike) leads the team with 289 kills and 4.01 kills/set. Freshman Jayme Willemssen (Waverly) follows with 204 kills and sophomore Kylie Bildstein (Dyersville) also has triple digit kills with 200. Bildstein leads the Knights with a team-best .224 hitting percentage.

Senior Mallary Erbes (Urbandale) paces the team with 760 assists and a team leading 44 service aces.

Katie Foster leads the Knights with 356 digs on the season. Bildstein has a team-best 75 total blocks.

Mallary Erbes ranks sixth in assists (1,918). She needs 33 to move into fifth.

DePauw (15-8)
The teams have never previously met and the Tigers enter the weekend on a three-match winning streak. Suzanne Peters leads her team with 343 kills. Morgan Stearley follows with 300, Liv Hartman at 265 and Meaghan Etling with 100. Kaylee Nichols has a team-best 32 service aces.

No. 12 WashU (19-5):
The Bears lead the all-time series at 9-0, but the teams have not met since 2010. Ifeoma Ufondu paces the squad with 267 kills. Julianne Malek follows with 251, Leila King at 164 and Tricia Brown rounds out those in triple digits with 107. Malek leads the team from the service line with 39 aces.

Aurora (19-6):
The all-time series lead is tied at 3-3. Katie Vondra has a team-best 327 kills and 35 service aces. Imani Freeman has 231 kills, Karli Chambers has 223, Lindsey Simpson has 157 and Samantha Weising completes those in triple digits with 119.

Belhaven (10-16):
The teams have never previously met and the Blazers have lost the seven-straight entering the weekend. Lauren Whiting leads the team with 197 kills. Ryan Hardin and Jackie Fredericks follow with 166 and Carissa Pauda completes those in triple digits with 159.
