WAVERLY, Iowa-- The Wartburg baseball team (17-9 overall, 8-4 IIAC) hosts Coe (17-10, 11-3) in a doubleheader Tuesday and Central (14-15, 5-8) in a weekend series. The Kohawks are the top team on the conference standings, the Knights are tied for second, and the Dutch are seventh.

The Series
Wartburg holds the series lead against Coe at 73- 36 and won four of the last five meetings last season. The Knights lead 76-52 over the Dutch, and have won the last 11 straight.

Freshman Parker Ridge (Marion) leads the team with his .313 average. Senior Zach Hovick (Roland), classmate Cody Hyler (Des Moines), freshman JoJo McNair (Joliet, Ill.) and sophomore Tyler Hovick (Roland) follow at ..306, .304, .300, and .300, respectively.

Zach Hovick has a team-high 22 RBIs, and McNair has a team-best 15 stolen bases and three triples.

Senior Tanner Eckhart (Monticello, Minn.) leads the starting pitchers with a 1.26 ERA, is 4-2 with 50 strikeouts in 50.0 innings pitched.
