WAVERLY, Iowa – The Wartburg College Knights baseball team (5-11 overall, 2-1 A-R-C) will travel to take on the Central College Dutch (11-3, 1-2) in a weekend three-game series. The single game between the two clubs is on Saturday, Mar. 30 at 2 p.m. The doubleheader has been moved to Sunday, Mar. 31 beginning at 1 p.m.

The Series
Wartburg owns the all-time series lead at 79-53. The Knights have won 12 of the last 13 games, dating back to Mar. 28, 2015. The last time the two teams met was on April 28, where the Orange and Black fell 3-2.

The Knights are coming off of a split doubleheader against Gustavus Adolphus on Tuesday. Leading the team in batting is junior
Andrew Walker (Eagan, Minn.) with an average of .379 (min. 20 at bats). Trailing Walker is junior infielder

Tyler Nunemaker (Ely) at .310. Sophomore
Parker Ridge (Marion) leads the team with nine RBIs, followed by Hovick and Walker with seven apiece.
Junior pitcher
Ben Milewski (Lake Villa) leads all starting pitchers with a 3.24 ERA. Milewski also leads the team in strikeouts (26), followed by sophomore
Dylan Gotto (Peosta) with 24. As a group, the Wartburg pitchers own a 5.69 ERA.
Central
The Dutch are coming off of an 8-7 victory against Coe College on Tuesday. Leading the team in batting average is Tanner Wood with a .382 average. Ryan Bouwman is second on the squad with a .370 average, followed by Chris Riddle (.341) and Garrett Saunders (.333). Wood leads the club in RBIs with 18, followed by Bouwman with 15 and Coy Moore with 11.
Nick Long leads the starting pitchers in ERA with a 2.55 in three starts. Rece Martin leads the group in strikeouts with 16, followed by Long with 15 and Zach Edwards with 14. The Dutch are coached by Matt Schrim and are assisted by Tyler Willis, Logan Emendorfer and Eric Van Wyngarden.
