WAVERLY, Iowa – The Wartburg College Knights baseball team (6-19 overall, 3-9 A-R-C) will welcome in the Nebraska Wesleyan Prairie Wolves (5-16, 3-6) for a three-game series beginning on Saturday with a doubleheader at 1 p.m., followed by a single game on Sunday at 12 p.m.

The Series
The Knights own the all-time series 5-1, as the two programs just began playing in 2017. The Knights swept the Prairie Wolves last season in three games.
Wartburg
The Orange and Black are in the midst of an eight-game losing streak, with the latest loss coming against Luther College in 8-3 fashion on Tuesday evening. Leading the club in batting is junior infielder
Tyler Hovick (Roland), who leads the team with a .304 batting average (min. 30 at bats). Following Hovick in batting is junior
Andrew Walker (Eagan, Minn.) with an average of .289 and freshman
Bryce Butler (Mason City) with a .257. Hovick leads the team in home runs with four and RBIs with 12.
Sophomore outfielder
JoJo McNair (Joliet, Ill.) remains perfect this season on stolen bases, going 13-13 on his attempts. Junior pitcher
Ben Milewski (Lake Villa) leads the starting pitchers with a 4.26 ERA, followed by sophomore
Darren Kilpatrick (Fairfax) with a 4.76. Sophomore
Dylan Gotto (Peosta) leads the group in strikeouts with 41, followed by Milewski with 34.

McNair has recorded 35 career stolen bases, which stands three shy of tying 10
th in program history for an individual career.
Nebraska Wesleyan
The Prairie Wolves have won their last two outings, most recently 7-5 against Simpson College April 9. Leading the team in batting is Derek Kolbush with a .324 average (min. 30 at bats). Spencer Scheer is second in average with a .292 and Brook Johnson is third with an average of .283. Kolbush leads the team in RBs with 16, followed by Will Watkins with 15 and Riley Ward with 14.
Josh Seifert leads all pitchers with a 2.55 ERA in 17.2 innings of work this season. Hayden Parker is the leader in strikeouts with 19, followed by Tucker McHugh at 17 and Ward at 14. Ward leads all starting pitchers with a 4.95 ERA in 20 innings of work. Nebraska Wesleyan is coached by Scott Ballinger. He is assisted by Alex Heideman, Tanner Soderberg and Josh Scheffert.
