Final Road Series On Deck for Knights Baseball

WAVERLY, Iowa - The Wartburg College baseball team will close out its 2021 American Rivers Conference regular season schedule this weekend at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. 

The four-game series between the Knights and Kohawks will feature a pair of doubleheaders May 7-8, Friday's starting at 2 p.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday. Coe is ranked No. 15 in the latest D3baseball.com/NCBWA Division III National poll.

COE ATTENDANCE POLICY
Spectators are permitted to attend Coe College outdoor athletic events and are required to follow campus and county regulations in regards to masking and social distancing. Fans must wear face coverings while outdoors, and must sit with their immediate family and/or travel party. No admission fees will be charged. Digital rosters and event programs will be provided through the Coe athletics website at kohawkathletics.com but no printed programs will be available. All home varsity evens will be streamed at https://portal.stretchinternet.com/coe/
 
Pre/post event group congregating (tailgating) will be prohibited on all campus property including parking lots and college-owned roads. Gates will open 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. 

There will be no concessions sold by Coe College. Sealed beverages and personal food items are allowed. Fans are also encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to better facilitate physical distancing.

WARTBURG WALK-OFFS
During the Knights' most recent series versus Loras College from Harms Stadium at Hertel Field May 2-3, the Orange & Black won two of the four games in walk-off fashion, led by game-winning singles from freshmen Zach Walton and Cole Wessling.

Ben DeKruyf batted .500 at the plate through four games with eight hits in 16 at bats, including two doubles, two runs batted in, and three runs scored. Joey Ciero threw a nine-inning complete game during game three's 3-2 victory.
