ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – Wartburg women's bowling team opened their 2022-23 season this past weekend at the Golden Eagle Invite. The event was hosted by Rock Valley College and took place at Cherry Bowl in Rockford, Illinois.
11 varsity teams participated in this weekend's competition. The tournament's format consisted of five traditional team games on Saturday followed by five sets of team Baker games on Sunday.
The Knights finished in 6th place with a final total of 7,455 pins. Wartburg knocked over 4,130 pins during day one and then finished with 3325 pins the next day.
Individually,
Chantelle Foster finished as the Knights' top bowler with a total of 888 pins in five games. She was followed by
Amber Brewer with a total of 872 pins in five games and
Trista Rauma with a total of 859 pins in five games.

The Knights are back in action Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 1-2 at the Midwest Collegiate Championships in Wauwatosa, Wis.
