Coaches Comments
"We are pleased with the program's performance this weekend. Improving their team average by nearly 25 pins a game (Men) and 10 pins a game (Women) from the first conference tournament truly displays the progress these teams have made in just two months, said Head Coach Alexis Neuer Runk.
"We saw improvement from all athletes this weekend, it is rewarding to see how their hard work and commitment is translating into results on the lanes. Some special moments this weekend include Dylan Obowa making his first all-tournament team and winning the individual side of the tournament. Jace Goedel making his second all tournament team of the year out of just four events. We made a change to Abby Hume's game late Wednesday practice before the tournament and she committed to the process and had her high individual tournament by nearly 30 pins a game. The Men's team really found their stride this weekend placing on the podium for the first time this season finishing runner up. We are hoping to take this positive momentum into our next tournament where we will be traveling to Vegas for our back to back tier 1's."
