AUBURNDALE, Fla. – Wartburg baseball closed play at the RussMatt Invitational in Florida with a 12-5 loss to Concordia University Chicago on Sunday, Mar. 5.
 
Game Summary

• The Knights got on the board early after Zach Wesolowski hit a three-run homerun to give Wartburg a 3-0 lead in the top of the first
• The Cougars scored two runs in the third inning after a double and sacrifice fly to cut Wartburg's lead to 3-2
• Concordia Chicago scored five more runs in the fifth inning after having a run walked in and then a grand slam
  • Cougars led 7-3 after the fifth
• In the sixth and seventh inning the Cougars had an RBI double that scored one and two runs respectively to make the score 11-3
• Wartburg was unable to bring any more runs across and fell to the Cougars 11-3
