NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) announced its 2023 Academic Honor Squads along with its 2023 Academic Honor Roll. Wartburg lacrosse received the team honor and had four athletes recognized individually on the honor roll.
To be eligible for the team award the team must have posted a 3.2 GPA during the 2022-23 academic year. Wartburg is one of 287 schools across Division I, II, III and NAIA to earn the academic honor. This marks the fourth time in program history that the Knights have received the team award. Previous years awarded: 2017, 2018 and 2022.

Jordan Lorenzen and
Britta Solheim all earned a spot on the 2023 IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, athletes must be at least a junior and earn an accumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. This is the third straight year honored by the IWLCA for Christianson and back-to-back years for Lorenzen. It is the first IWLCA honor for both Gershenoff and Solheim. Wartburg has had individual honors in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022 and now 2023.
