Coaches Comments
"The girls fought hard this weekend," said head coach
Alexis Neuer Runk. "With a slow start Saturday we saw ourselves almost 250 pins back of second after the first three of traditional. The ladies fought hard the last two shooting 878 (Second high this season) to pull within 60 pins of second place for a chance at the best of 3 final match Sunday. The ladies came out red hot shooting 204 game 1 Sunday and continued their stride into the last two games of baker where we saw ourselves in second place. Unfortunately, the third-place team at the time caught some good breaks the last two to pass us for the championship finals."
"I am still proud of how the ladies preformed for their first time in a high-pressure environment," continued Runk. "They made great shots but sometimes in bowling the breaks don't always go your way. I want to take a moment and congratulate
Beth Johll on her first ever all-tournament team finish. She bowled incredible from beginning to end this weekend. Being a senior on this program she has rode the wave of what Wartburg Bowling has been the past 4 years. We are so grateful for her to have chosen to stay and continue to compete for us and trust us to continue her bowling journey. This one is extra special, and we are so proud of her and her amazing accomplishment."
