WAVERLY, Iowa – Wartburg fell to Buena Vista University in both games of today's doubleheader, the Knights were edged 6-5 in game one and fell 7-2 in game two. The Knights are now 14-10 overall and 5-7 in American Rivers Conference play.

			- Carter Stubitz starts the scoring for the Knights with a leadoff solo HR to right field to give Wartburg an early 1-0 lead
- Noah Day reached on a walk and came around to score two batters later by an Aiden Tobin RBI single to make it 2-0 Knights
- BVU responded in the bottom half of the second with a leadoff HR to cut the Knights lead to one

			- Eliot Jurgensen started the third inning with a walk and scored on an RBI double by Zach Walton to push the lead to two
- Walton came across to score off an RBI double by Stubitz to extend the lead to three
- The Knights added another run when Caleb Andrews brought Stubitz across the plate with an RBI single to make it 5-1 Knights

			- The Beavers got one run back in the bottom of the fourth with an RBI single to make it 5-2 Wartburg

			- BVU added two more runs with a two-run HR in the bottom half to cut the Knights lead to one

			- The Beavers tied up the score at five, with a solo HR to lead off the bottom of the sixth
- An RBI infield single broke the tie at five and gave BVU a 6-5 lead

			- The Knights had two runners on in the top of the seventh, but could not push a run across in the final three innings as BVU won game one 6-5

			- With Tobin and Keaton Gray in scoring position, Walton put the Knights on the scoreboard first with a two-RBI single to left field
 
- Fourth Inning
		
			- In the bottom half, BVU ripped off six straight singles with two outs to take a 4-2 lead through four innings

			- The Knights loaded up the bases in the fifth, but the Beavers got out of the jam with no runs allowed
 
- Sixth Inning
		
			- Wartburg didn't allow a hit in the fifth or sixth innings and the score remained 4-2, BVU out in front
 
- Eighth Inning
		
			- Buena Vista added to its lead after back-to-back base hits scored three runs to make the score 7-2 through eight innings
- The Beavers held off the Knights in the top of the ninth to win 7-2
