CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa --Â Wartburg College junior
Afftynn Stusse has been named the American Rivers Conference Women's Wrestler of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Stusse, a Battle Creek, Neb., native, delivered a pivotal performance in the No. 10-ranked Knights' 29-17 top-20 dual victory over No. 18 Simpson on Wednesday, Nov. 5.
Competing in the 110-pound class, No. 20-ranked Stusse scored a statement win by pinning No. 16 Sarah Zimmerman (Simpson) in 5:03, helping Wartburg secure the dual.
On the season, Stusse owns four victories, including two tech falls, one pin, and one decision, while totaling 53 match points.
The Knights return to action Saturday, Nov. 15, at the Luther Open in Decorah, Iowa.
