CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- The Wartburg College women's wrestling program headlined the American Rivers Conference postseason honors, sweeping the league's major awards and placing a conference-best 13 student-athletes on the 2025-26 All-A-R-C Team.

Brady Kyner was selected as Coach of the Year following a historic season for the Knights.
Wartburg's 13 all-conference selections led all programs and established a new program record, surpassing last season's total of 10 in just the league's second year of postseason recognition.Â
At the helm, Kyner guided Wartburg to an 11th-place finish at the 2026 NCAA National Collegiate Women's Wrestling Championships, totaling 39.5 team points. The Knights were one of just three Division III programs to place inside the top 15, joining North Central College (3rd) and Aurora University (13th). Kyner led Wartburg to three NCAA All-Americans — the most in a single season in program history — and the program's first DIII NWCA National Duals title. The Knights also finished the year ranked No. 5 in the NWCA dual rankings across all divisions, compiling a 10-2 record, the most wins in a single season. Wartburg secured back-to-back American Rivers Conference titles and placed runner-up at the NCAA Region V Championships, helping Kyner earn NWCA Regional Coach of the Year honors.
Off the mat, Kyner's program produced a school-record 21 NWCA Scholar All-Americans — the most in the nation — along with 12 A-R-C All-Academic selections, leading all conference sports.
In total, Kyner has produced 25 all-conference honorees,  five all-Americans, and a 21-8 dual team record in just three seasons leading the Wartburg women's wrestling program.Â

Chloe Sheffield (Fr., Decorah, Iowa/Decorah) secured her first all-conference honor after a standout rookie campaign at 103 pounds. Sheffield posted a 21-5 overall record with 11 technical falls and three pins, highlighted by a fourth-place finish at the Region V Championships. She captured titles at the A-R-C Championships, Luther Open, and Pointer Open, while finishing runner-up at the D3 Invite. Sheffield also earned NWCA Scholar All-American recognition.
Afftynn Stusse (Jr., Battle Creek, Neb./Battle Creek) earned all-conference distinction for the second time, compiling a 25-6 record at 110 pounds with 13 technical falls and eight pins. Stusse qualified for the inaugural NCAA NC Championships with a runner-up finish at the Region V Championships. She claimed titles at the Luther Open and D3 Invite and was named A-R-C Wrestler of the Week (Nov. 10). Stusse garnered NWCA Academic All-American honors for the second time and was named A-R-C All-Academic.
Ava Gardner (Fr., Marshfield, Wis./Marshfield) earned all-conference honors after leading the team with 21 technical falls, the second-most in program history. Gardner compiled a 29-11 record, capturing the A-R-C title at 110 pounds while adding a runner-up finish at the D3 Invite and a third-place showing at the Pointer Open.
Gable Hemann (Fr., Osage, Iowa/Osage) turned in an All-American season at 117 pounds, finishing eighth at the NCAA NC Championships. Hemann posted a 27-10 record with 13 pins and 11 technical falls, earning titles at the Pointer Open, Luther Open, and A-R-C Championships. She added a fourth-place finish at the D3 Invite and a third-place showing at the Region V Championships. Hemann was also named NCAA Region V Rookie of the Year and earned NWCA Scholar All-American honors.
Leah Chandler (So., Chariton, Iowa/Chariton) earned her second career all-conference accolade after finishing third at 124 pounds at the A-R-C Championships. Chandler recorded a 15-16 mark with six technical falls and six pins.
Sophie Bowers (Fr., Vandalia, Ill./Vandalia) compiled a 30-10 overall record at 131 pounds, totaling 18 technical falls and three pins en route to all-conference recognition. Bowers won the A-R-C title and qualified for the national championships with a third-place finish at the regional meet. She also placed third at both the D3 Invite and Pointer Open, setting a new program single-season wins record (31).
Kenzie Childers (Fr., Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Cedar Rapids Prairie) earned all-conference honors after posting a 21-7 record at 131 pounds with 11 technical falls and eight pins. Childers captured titles at the Pointer Open and A-R-C Championships while adding third-place finishes at the D3 Invite and Region V Championships. She qualified for the national championships and was recognized as an NWCA Scholar All-American and A-R-C All-Academic selection.
Rachel Fode (Jr., Byron, Minn./Byron) recorded a 15-11 mark at 160 pounds with career-high totals of seven technical falls and five pins. Fode finished as the A-R-C runner-up and earned NWCA Academic All-American honors, along with A-R-C All-Academic recognition.
Kylie Rule (Jr., Mineral Point, Wis./Mineral Point) secured her second all-conference honor and third consecutive NWCA All-American accolade with a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Championships at 138 pounds. Rule compiled a 26-7 record with 11 pins and 10 technical falls, winning titles at the Luther Open and A-R-C Championships while qualifying for nationals for the third straight season. She is a two-time A-R-C All-Academic honoree.
Alex Harswick (Jr., Ames, Iowa/Gilbert) earned her first all-conference selection after posting a career-best 18 wins at 145 pounds. Harswick recorded 10 technical falls and two pins, finishing as the A-R-C runner-up. She is a two-time NWCA Academic All-American and first-time A-R-C All-Academic selection.
Aniyah Kelly (Jr., Greer, S.C./Woodmont) garnered her first all-conference honor while repeating as A-R-C Champion at 145 pounds. Kelly posted a 22-9 record with eight technical falls and six pins and qualified for the national championships for the third consecutive season. She earned NWCA Academic All-American recognition for the third time and was named A-R-C Wrestler of the Week (Jan. 12). Kelly also claimed the Luther Open title, placed second at the D3 Invite, and finished third at the Region V Championships.
May Prado (So., Marietta, Ga./Lassiter) earned all-conference honors for the second straight season, finishing with a 21-12 record. Prado recorded seven technical falls and five pins, placing third at the A-R-C Championships, fourth at the Region V Championships, and fifth at the D3 Invite.
Rewa Chababo (Sr., Katy, Texas/Mayde Creek) capped her career with a program-best third-place finish at the NCAA NC Championships at 207 pounds. Chababo posted a 28-3 record with 10 pins and seven technical falls, contributing 124 team points. She captured titles at the A-R-C Championships, Region V Championships, D3 Invite, and Luther Open while earning A-R-C Wrestler of the Week honors (Feb. 23). Chababo also received NWCA Scholar All-American and A-R-C All-Academic recognition.
