DUBUQUE, Iowa – Baseball split an American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) doubleheader against Loras College on Friday, Mar. 28 after winning game one 21-11 and falling in game two 17-5. The Knights are now 9-8 overall and 3-3 in A-R-C play, while Loras is now 13-7 and 3-2 in A-R-C play.

- Griffin Troha hit a two-run home run to add to Wartburg's lead and then later in the inning Armstrong hit an RBI single to score Caleb Andrews
- Wartburg led 6-0 heading into the bottom of the fourth

- Following a Loras pitching change, Keegan Schmitt led off the inning with a solo-shot home run to put Wartburg ahead 7-2

- The Knights recorded their first hit when Caleb Andrews singled, but Wartburg couldn't bring any runs across to keep the score at 0-0 headed to the bottom half
- Loras' offense exploded for nine runs from seven hits, including three extra-base hits

- The Duhawks added seven more runs after just two hits to make the score 16-0 after three innings
- 4th inning
- Stubitz, Scott and Andrews all walked to load the bases, but Loras got back-to-back outs to escape with no runs allowed

- Zach Walton singled and Schmitt doubled to set up another bases loaded situation with one out, but Loras got out of the jam for a second-straight inning
