GRINNELL, Iowa- The Knights No. 4 ranked men's and No. 10 ranked women's track and field teams completed the second day of the Darren Young Classic.
Abby Veld was victorious in the shot put and weight throw.
Deacon Vasey earned an event victory in the shot put.

FIELD EVENTS
(M) Shot Put:
Deacon Vasey was victorious with a 14.67m 48-01.75 mark.
Eli Keahna (13.56m 44-06.00) took sixth place and
Cole Cantrall (12.54m 41-01.75) took 11
th place.
(W) Shot Put:
Abby Veld earned the event victory with a 13.38m 43-10.75 mark. Additionally,
Olivia Rowedder (11.58m 38-0.00) and
Lydia Kriegel (11.46m 37-07.25) finished in the top 10.Â
(M) Weight Throw:
Eli Keahna (15.58m 51-01.50) put together a good performance with his fourth place finish out of 47 total competitors.
Deacon Vasey (14.50m 47-07.00) and
Carson Luense (13.70m 44-11.50) were the next top performers for the Knights.Â
(W) Weight Throw:
Abby Veld won her second event of the day with a 17.60m 57-09.00 mark. Anna Glawe (14.80m 48-06.75) finished fifth and
Lydia Kriegel (14.71m 48-03.25) finished seventh. Veld is tied for third on the program's top 10 list and stands eighth on the TFRRS list for this season.
