The Wartburg College baseball team (17-13 overall, 8-10 A-R-C) will celebrate its 2026 senior class this weekend as it hosts Loras College (17-14 overall, 11-7 A-R-C) for a pivotal three-game series at Harms Stadium at Hertel Field.
The series opens with a single game on Friday, April 24 at 6 p.m., followed by a Saturday doubleheader beginning at noon as part of Senior Day festivities.
Wartburg will recognize 11Â individuals as part of its 2026 senior class during Saturday's ceremony.

SERIES HISTORY
Loras
All-Time Series: Wartburg leads the all-time series 59-35, including a 35-19 mark at home. In conference play, the Knights hold a 46-23 advantage over the Duhawks.
Last Meeting: Wartburg and Loras last met on March 29, 2025, with the Knights taking two of three games to secure the season series. Wartburg opened with a 21-11 win, dropped game two 17-5, and responded with a 10-8 victory in the series finale.

ABOUT THE DUHAWKS
Winners of four straight, Loras enters the weekend fourth in the A-R-C standings with an 11-7 conference mark. The Duhawks are 9-7 on the road and have gone 7-3 over their last 10 games since April 7.
Offensively, Loras leads the league with 43 home runs this season, ranking No. 12 in Division III. Colin Kissane (12) and Vince Polizzi (11) pace the power surge, while Polizzi also leads the conference and ranks No. 12 nationally with 53 RBIs. The Duhawks have scored 267 runs this season, trailing only Luther's league-leading 285, and are averaging just under 8.5 runs per game.
Following this weekend's series, Loras will close out its regular season conference schedule against Coe College.

- Andrew Gallegos posts a .315/.583 average with a team high seven home runs, 24 RBIs, and 63 total bases.
- Charlie Krueger has reached base safely in his past 16 games.
- Tanner Jackson rides an eight-game hitting streak into the weekend, as Scott has recorded a hit in seven-straight games.
- Out of the bullpen, Owen Greco (2-3) records the Knights' lowest ERA at 3.09 through four starts in 10 appearances.
- The Knights hold a 6-4 home record this season, 2-6 away, and 9-3 at neutral sites.
- Wartburg aims to make its sixth-straight A-R-C Tournament appearance – the Knights currently sit fifth, but Central and Nebraska Wesleyan have each earned season series tiebreakers – both schools sit just under Wartburg in the standings.
