WAVERLY, Iowa—The Wartburg women’s basketball team (15-5 overall, 8-3 IIAC) travels to Mount Vernon, Iowa Wednesday for an Iowa Conference matchup against Cornell (7-10, 5-5) at 6 p.m.
The Knights won the first meeting, 72-58 back on Jan. 16 and have won the past eight consecutive meetings.

A Look at the Teams:
Wartburg:
Senior Leslie Wilson (Austin, Minn.) leads the team with her 12.2 PPG and 6.0 rebounds per game.
Classmate Stephanie Reiter (Buckingham) and junior Abi Weidmann (Iowa Falls) join her in double digits with 11.8 and 10.2 PPG, respectively.
Cornell:
Two players, Rikki Mulloy and Camille Marie-Lidd lead the Rams with 14.4 and 13.0 PPG, respectively. Marie-Lidd leads the team with her 8.1 rebounds per game.

In Iowa Conference games, the Orange and Black rank in the Top Four in seven team categories. Wartburg is first in scoring margin (+9.4 PPG), three-point field goal percentage (.399) and free throw percentage (.748), second in scoring offense (67.1 PPG), assists (13.91/game) and field goal percentage (.441) and fourth in rebounding margin (+1.5).
Individually, five players rank in the Top Ten individual categories.
Wilson is the league’s fourth-leading scorer (14.6 PPG), and Reiter is eighth (12.5).
Wilson leads the conference with her .636 field goal percentage is Dirks is sixth (.500).
Reiter is tied for second with her 3.64 assists/game and Wilson is tenth (2.55).
Weidemann is second in the league with her .872 percentage from the charity stripe and Wilson is ninth (.762).
Reiter and junior Maddie Sadecky (Iowa City) are tied for fifth in three-point field goal percentage (.429) and Dirks is seventh (.423).
Reiter leads the conference with her 2.73 treys/game and Sadecky is third (2.10).
