WAVERLY, Iowa-- Wartburg (8-12 overall, 2-7 IIAC) fell 60-40 to Dubuque (13-7, 6-3) Wednesday night.

Junior Chelsey Wedeking (Nashua) had a team-high seven points and sophomore Kailey Kladivo (Traer) followed with six.

Junior Alyssa Sager (Albert Lea, Minn.) and Kladivo each led the team with four rebounds on the night. Sager also had four assists on the game, just one shy of her career mark.

The Spartans led 27-20 at halftime and continued to maintain their lead in the second frame.

The Knights held the team advantage at the free throw line, .765 vs .733.

The Orange and Black take to the road Saturday when they face Loras at 2 p.m.
