Wartburg Hosts Simpson

WAVERLY, Iowa-- The Wartburg women's basketball team (12-3 overall, 2-2 IIAC) hosts Simpson (10-5, 3-1) Wednesday at 6 p.m. The Storm enters the match up on a three-game winning streak.

The Series
Simpson holds the all-time series lead at 48-28, but the Knights won last season's meeting in Indianola.

Wartburg
Four Knights average in double figures with senior Kailey Kladivo (Traer) leading the way with 15.7 PPG and 7.9 rebounds/game. Sophomore Katie Sommer (Cedar Rapids) follows with 11.7 PPG, senior Bobbie Burrows (Bondurant) has 10.5, and sophomore Kristie Sommer (Cedar Rapids) has 10.1.

Classmate Aryn Jones (Marion) has a team-high 16 blocks; Kladivo is second with 11.

Wartburg leads the IIAC in three-point field goal percentage (.459), and Kladivo is the league's fourth-leading scorer (17.3 PPG).

Simpson
Noreen Morrow leads the Storm with 12.1 PPG. Maddie Bosworth follows at 11.7, and Mackenzie Haupt has 10.8. Britney Boland is the team's leading rebounder with 6.1 boards/game.

The Knights are ranked second in three-point field-goal percentage (40.1), ninth in field-goal percentage (45.8), 12th in three-point field goals made (120), 13th in three-point field goals per game (8.0), 35th in scoring offense (72.9), 37th in defensive rebounds per game (31), 38th in assist to turnover ratio (1.01), 41st in won-lost percentage (80.0), 44th in assists (238) and scoring margin (13.7), 45th in final points (1,094), 47th in assists per game (15.9), 89th in three-point field goals attempted (299) and 93rd in fewest turnovers (235).
 
Individually, three are ranked in the top 100 in nine statistical categories. Burrows is ranked 18th in three-point field goals made (42), 22nd in three-point field-goal percentage (42.9), 25th in three-point field goals per game (2.80), 29th in assist to turnover ratio (2.17) and 86th in three-point field goals attempted (98). Kladivo is ranked 41st in field-goal percentage (53.4) and 75th in field goals made (95). Katie Sommer is ranked 63rd in assists (64) and 73rd in assists per game (4.3), while twin sister Kristie is ranked 43rd in three-point field-goal percentage (40.3).
