Complete bracketWAVERLY, Iowa—The Wartburg women's basketball team (19-7 overall) will play Wisconsin Lutheran (20-7) Friday, March 4 at 4:30 p.m. in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in Oshkosh, Wis.
The Knights received an at-large bid and will make their tenth overall appearance and first since 2002 in the NCAA Tournament.
The Warriors received an automatic bid as they won the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Tournament for the sixth-straight year and enter the weekend on a three-game winning streak.
The Orange and Black hold the all-time series lead at 2-0 against Wisconsin Lutheran, but the last meeting was in November of 2007.
UW-Oshkosh (22-5) will serve as host and will face UW-Superior (24-3) in the other first round game Friday. The Titans won the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Tournament for the third-straight year and the Yellow Jackets were the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Champions and will make the inaugural NCAA Tournament appearance in program history.
Friday's winners will advance to the second round game Saturday at 7 p.m.
