No. 9/10 Wartburg Hosts Central

WAVERLY, Iowa-- The No. 9/10 Wartburg women's basketball team (14-1 overall, 6-0 IIAC) host Central (8-6, 1-4) Saturday at 2 p.m. The Dutch enter the weekend on a four-game losing skid while the Knights have won their last three-straight.

The Series
Wartburg leads the all-time series at 50-22 and have won the last eight straight over the Dutch.

Junior Miranda Murphy (Alleman) leads the team with 14.3 PPG and is second with 5.7 rebounds/contest. Classmate Katie Sommer (Cedar Rapids) is second in scoring (13.6 PPG) and is the leading rebounder at 6.3 rebounds/game.

Twin sister Kristie joins the duo in double digit scoring with 10.0 PPG.

Katie currently ranks fifth-best on the program's all-time career leader list in assists with 281. She is also ninth on the career leader list for three-point field goals made (103).

Twin sister Kristie Sommer currently ranks sixth in that category with 137 and needs 30 to move into fifth.

Junior Aryn Jones (Marion) has moved into sixth in blocks (64). She needs three to move into fifth.

Central
Claire Marburger leads her team with 22.5 PPG and Emily Dine joins her in double figures at 13.4 PPG.
