WAVERLY, Iowa-- The No. 8/14 Wartburg women's basketball (1-0 overall) travels to North Park's tournament this weekend. The Knights will face Elmhurst (1-1) Saturday at 4 p.m. and host-North Park (2-0) Sunday at 2 p.m.

The Series
Wartburg owns the narrow lead at 3-2 against Elmhurst. The Knights hold the all-time series lead at 3-0 over North Park. The Orange and Black last faced both programs in the 2015-16 season.

Senior Katie Sommer (Cedar Rapids) needs 19 points to become the program's 13th member of the 1,000 career point club.

Through the season opener, three Knights are in double digits as senior Miranday Murphy has a team-high 15.0 PPG. Classmates Abbie Haupert (Collins) and Katie Sommer (Cedar Rapids) has 12.0. Sophomore Emma Gerdes (Cedar Falls) leads the team on the glass with 4.0 rebounds/game.

Elmhurst
Four players average in double digits as Mikaela Eppard paces the team with 15.0 PPG. Jasmin Bailey follows with 11.0, Hannah Henderson has 10.5, and Lisa Logan has 10.0

North Park
Gabby Sandoval leads her team with 10.0 PPG and Shaylee Sloan has a team-best 10.5 rebounds/game.
