CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa-- Senior Katie Sommer (Cedar Rapids) was named the Iowa Conference's co-women's basketball player of the week, the conference office announced today.

Her weekly accomplishments:

• Sommer helped lead the Knights to a 3-0 record on the week.
• She became Wartburg's 12th member of the 1,000-career point club this past week.
• Throughout Wartburg's three games she averaged 12.3ppg, 5.67rpg, 6.67rpg and totaled five steals.
• As the Knights defeated Iowa Wesleyan 96-40, Sommer scored 12-points, brought down 2-rebounds, handed out 6-assists and collected 1-steal.
• In a 67-59 win over Elmhurst, Sommer finished the game with 16-points, 9-rebounds, 9-assists and 4-steals.
• The senior point guard finished the Knights 63-57 win over North Park with 9-points, 6-rebounds and 5-assists.
• Knights currently ranked 8th in d3hoops.com poll and 14th in WBCA poll
• This is Sommer's sixth Player of the Week honor (11/26/17, 2/26/17, 2/5/17, 1/15/17, 2/8/16, 12/7/15).
