No. 11/13 Wartburg Concludes Road Trip Against Central

WAVERLY, Iowa-- The No. 11/13 Wartburg women's basketball team (19-2 overall, 11-1 IIAC) travels to face Central (9-11, 2-9) Saturday at 2 p.m. for the final road game of the week. The Knights are seeking the season sweep over Central as they won the first matchup, 78-41 on Jan. 14.

The Series
Wartburg leads the all-time series at 51-22 and have won the last nine-straight over the Dutch.

Junior Miranda Murphy (Alleman) leads the team with 13.9 PPG. Classmate Katie Sommer (Cedar Rapids) follows at 13.5 PPG, twin sister Kristie is third at 11.1 and Morgan Neuendorf rounds out the leading scorers with 10.4 PPG. Katie is the leading rebounder with 6.0/game.

Katie has now moved into second on the program's all-time career leader list in assists with 310. She is also ninth on the career leader list for three-point field goals made (113). Katie is 14 assists shy of setting a new single-season best, a record that she set last year.

Kristie currently ranks sixth in that category with 159 and needs eight to move into fifth.
Jones has now moved into fifth in blocks (70).

Miranda Murphy ranks 22nd in field-goal percentage (56.3). Kristie Sommer ranks 16th in three-point field goals made (56), 27th in three-point field goals per game (2.80), 35th in three-point field-goal percentage (39.4), and 45th in three-point field goals attempted (142).
