WAVERLY, Iowa-- The Wartburg women's lacrosse team (7-9 overall, 3-7 MWLC) hosts Cornell (2-13, 1-9) Saturday at 1 p.m. in its season finale. The lacrosse class of 2017 will be recognized before the game.

Wartburg owns the series lead at 2-0.

Senior Sophia Corpstein (Anamosa) leads the team with 34 goals, and junior Allie Stahmer (Chicago) follows with 33 goals. Corpstein has nine assists for a team-best 43 points. Sophomore Ashlyn Jelinek (Stillwater, Minn.) and freshman Alex Pollock (Chaska, Minn.) round out the leading scorers with 22 and 20, respectively.

Freshman Laura Sinkovitz (York, Pa.) has 114 saves.

Cornell
Sydney Cooper is the leading scorer with 33 goals. Caitlyn St. Marie ­­follows with 21. Hollie Force has 129 saves.
