DUBUQUE, Iowa-- Four members of the No. 2/6 Wartburg women's basketball team scored in double digits in Wednesday's 78-56 victory over Loras. Senior Katie Sommer (Cedar Rapids) led all scorers with 19 points, 11 which were in the second half. Classmates Aryn Jones (Marion) had 14, Morgan Neuendorf (Plainfield) tallied 12 and Miranda Murphy (Alleman) scored 10. Murphy and Sommer co-led the team on the glass with seven rebounds each.

The Knights move to 18-0 on the season and 9-0 in IIAC games, while the Duhawks are now 12-7, 4-6 as their three-game winning streak was halted.

With 6:11 to play in the second quarter, senior Kristie Sommer (Cedar Rapids) tied the program's career record with her 217th three-pointer. This tied the mark set by Samantha Harrington from 2007-11.

The Orange and Black took the 37-31 lead into the locker room at halftime. Wartburg opened the first two minutes of the third quarter with a 9-4 run to build its margin to double digits. The Knights maintained a double figure lead for the duration of the game, and led by as many as 24 points late in the game.

The Orange and Black return home to host Dubuque Saturday at 2 p.m.
