CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa-- Senior Katie Sommer (Cedar Rapids) repeated as the Iowa Conference's MVP and Bob Amsberry repeated as the IIAC Coach of the Year, the conference office announced today.
This was Sommer's third career All-Conference honor and is the first repeat conference MVP in program history since Holly Mohs in 2001 and 2002.
This was Amsberry's second career honor during his time in the Iowa Conference.
Senior Miranda Murphy (Alleman) was also named First-team All-Conference for her second career All-Conference honor.
Classmates Aryn Jones (Marion) Morgan Neuendorf (Plainfield) were tabbed Second-team All-Conference. This marked the second career All-Conference accolade for Neuendorf and first for Jones.
This is the 10th-straight year Wartburg has had multiple All-Conference selections and tied the school record with the four selections.
