Pollock Nets Four in Loss to Eagles

ST. PAUL-- Sophomore Alex Pollock (Chaska, Minn.) scored four goals in Wartburg's 12-10 loss to Northwestern (Minn.) Tuesday.

The Eagles took the early 3-0 lead, but the Knights scored four consecutive goals to take the 4-3 lead just over halfway into the first half. The game was later tied at five all at halftime.

UNW built its margin on six straight goals to make it 11-5.

The Orange and Black whittled the margin to two on Pollock's fourth goal of the night with 7:09 left. Northwestern increased its margin to three with its final goal with 6:44 to go. Junior Ashlyn Jelinek (Stillwater, Minn.) netted the final goal for Wartburg with 4:53 to play.

The Knights return to the field Saturday when they host Hamline in the annual Senior Day at 2 p.m.
