MOUNT VERNON, Iowa-- The Wartburg women's lacrosse team (5-10 overall, 2-8 MWLC) narrowly fell 13-12 to Cornell (7-8, 5-6) Saturday. Sophomore Alex Pollock (Chaska, Minn.) scored a free position goal with 17 seconds left to bring the Knights within one.

The Rams won the ensuing draw control, but then turned the ball over. The Orange and Black were unable to make a shot, to seal the win for the Rams. Freshman Bri Greiskalns (Oakdale, Minn.), senior Allie Stahmer (Chicago) and Pollock all finished with three goals.
